Road Trip (Everglades)
My project partner Nichelle took me on a road trip to the Everglades a few months back. We drove to see the Seminole Arts and Cultural Festival A.I.A.C. 2010.
What a wonderful and surprising experience. So much to take in all at once. The ride itself felt like we were leaving civilization. All you could see out there was nothing but nature and blue skies. I don’t even think our cell phones worked out there. Peaceful.
Really had a great time learning about The Seminole Indians culture, traditions and spirit. Definitely make plans to see America’s only unconquered tribe in 2011.

Baby Shower Event-Marino
Had the pleasure to follow up the engagement set with the Marino’s with a baby shower event they had planned a week later. What a great and wonderful success.
It got a bit cloudy early on but then cleared up and the sun did its thing. The food was delicious and prepared by the resident chef. Man, it couldn’t come out fast enough it was so good.

Communion Session

I had a opportunity to shoot a Holy Communion for a little girl of a nice family in Hialeah a month ago. The mom was the official shutterbug of the family, but she wanted to enjoy the festivities without having to worry about missing good shots. It was a three hour event. The first part took place in a Hialeah church with the celebration continuing at the Marinheiro on Brickell. Beautiful hotel right by the water on a perfect day. Here are a few shots that caught my artistic eye.
K’s Baby Shower #2
Yes, my sister-in- law Karen had her 2nd baby, so when she was 81/2 months, it was time for a baby shower. Family and close friends arrived for the fun and festivities and had a great time. We played the usual games and danced to all the popular tunes including the The Cha Cha Slide which is always a crowd favorite. One of the best baby shower’s I’ve been to.
Soccer Season
On a photo assist project a month ago for my budding photographer Elbio, on a very cold (unexpected) Saturday Miami morning. The point of the shoot was to capture the players sporting the team’s logo and names, but since it was too cold, they rescheduled the session for next week. Still, it was a good practice session for my friend and I got a chance to network and push some cards.
